Welcome Andrew

We decided on a name, Andrew Solomon. Love him. So amazing.We are grateful that God has given us this little boy.

He was born this morning at 7:46am and weighed 7lbs 13oz. He is 3 weeks early and was taken to the NICU soon after being delivered. He’s not quite ready to leave the NICU tonight, we are praying that we can have him out with us full-time very soon.

We want to thank our friends and family for all the support they showed during out two week hospital stay leading up to this. It’s been really hard, but you all have made it so much easier on our family.

Becca is resting and recovering from her C-Section. Everyone is pretty healthy and stable, considering what we’ve been through.

I think he and his older brother are going to have their first hair-cut at the same time.

He is opening up his eyes a little bit.

Rebecca in the Hospital

Becca is in the hospital right now. She has been there for several days now. She is having some intense headaches and the numbers in her lab work have become a concern to her doctor. The main goal right now is to just rest and relax. She can’t do that very easily at home so they are taking good care of her at the hospital. It’s likely that our new little boy will be born in a couple days. Right now he is at 35 weeks. He is a good size and weight already, though.

We are eager to meet him and to let Becca begin the recovery process from all of this.

Simon and I are spending some time together at home. And we go visit mommy often. So many people have offered their help with babysitting and meals. It’s such a relief to have the help of our friends and family at this time. Thank you all.

We are praying that when our new little boy is born he will be strong and healthy and won’t have to spend any time in the NICU.
